Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home by using a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic profits isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish more info to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
